Who we are and what this policy covers
Konrai LLC (“Konrai,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) develops Guess That Tune, a music guessing game for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, including the Free edition when it becomes available.
The Paid edition has no advertisements and does not include advertising or consent-management SDKs. The Free edition includes Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform to support advertising and privacy choices. The advertising sections below apply only to the Free edition.
Information handled by both editions
Game information on your device
The app does not require a Konrai account. Team names, scores, saved games, preferences, and clue feedback are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this game information to a Konrai server. The app does not provide its own cross-device save synchronization.
Deleting the app removes its local app data. Copies included in device backups may remain subject to your Apple backup settings and retention practices.
Music access
With your permission, the app accesses music sources, including your Apple Music library and selected playlists, to prepare and play music clues. Music access and playback may require an Apple Music subscription and an internet connection.
We do not send your music-library contents, song or playlist identifiers, team names, or scores to advertising providers. Apple processes requests needed to provide its music services under its own privacy practices. You can manage the app’s music-access permission in iOS Settings.
Purchases and platform services
Purchases of the Paid app are processed by Apple’s App Store. Konrai does not receive your payment-card details. The current app does not offer in-app purchases.
Apple may process download, purchase, diagnostic, and service information as part of operating the App Store, iOS, and Apple Music. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Contacting us
If you contact Konrai for support or a privacy request, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your contact details and message. We use that information to respond, investigate the issue, and handle the request. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other information unnecessary for your request.
Advertising in the Free edition
The Free edition uses Google AdMob to display banners on the game setup and final results screens. Ads are not shown during clue playback or active gameplay. The Paid edition does not include AdMob.
The Free edition requests non-personalized ads only. Non-personalized advertising still involves data processing for ad delivery, measurement, diagnostics, and protection against fraud and abuse. Ads may use contextual information, including approximate location, without being selected from an interest-based advertising profile.
Google’s SDK may process:
- IP addresses, which may indicate approximate location;
- device, app, or developer-related identifiers, subject to platform restrictions and applicable choices;
- advertising information, such as impressions and interactions;
- app interactions, diagnostic information, crash information, and performance data.
Google and its advertising partners process information through their services. Konrai does not operate a server that stores this advertising information. Details about Google’s practices are available in Google’s Privacy Policy, Google’s explanation of information from partner apps, and Google Mobile Ads data disclosures.
The current app does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Non-personalized ads and the absence of a tracking-permission prompt do not mean that advertising services collect no information.
Consent and privacy choices
The Free edition uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request applicable privacy choices before requesting ads when required. The messages and choices presented depend on your region and applicable requirements. Even if a consent message offers broader options, this version of the app continues to request non-personalized ads.
When required by the consent service, an Ad privacy options control appears in the advertising area on eligible setup or final results screens. Use this control to revisit available choices or withdraw consent. This control is not part of a separate app Settings screen.
The app requests ads only when the consent service permits requests. If ads are unavailable, you can continue playing. Changing a privacy choice may affect future ad delivery; it does not automatically delete information previously processed by a provider.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate the game and music features, respond to requests, and, in the Free edition, provide and measure advertising. The app does not include a separate Konrai-operated analytics service.
Apple handles its platform and music services. Google and its advertising partners handle advertising and related processing in the Free edition. If you contact us, services used to receive and respond to your message may also process it. Information we hold may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address security or legal claims.
We do not sell your information for money. Some privacy laws use broader definitions of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising. Non-personalized advertising does not by itself resolve every legal classification of provider processing. Use the available privacy controls and contact us about rights that apply to you.
Retention and security
Game information remains locally on your device until removed through available app controls or deletion of the app, subject to device backups. Information processed by Apple, Google, and advertising partners is retained according to their respective policies and applicable requirements. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete information already held by these providers.
If you contact us, we retain correspondence as needed to address the request and applicable legal obligations. We take reasonable measures to protect information we handle, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Third-party services may process information outside your country. Their privacy policies describe their processing locations and applicable protections.
Children’s privacy
Guess That Tune is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not collect a date of birth or offer an age-selection flow. The Free edition requests non-personalized ads for all users; this is not an age-verification mechanism.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app or a support request, contact us. We will investigate and take appropriate steps concerning information we control and, where appropriate, direct you to the relevant provider.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising-related processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Where consent is required, the Free edition uses the consent process described above. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out. Other processing, such as responding to a request or meeting legal obligations, may have a different applicable legal basis.
Contact us to exercise rights concerning information Konrai handles. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify and respond to your request. For information held independently by Apple or Google, their privacy resources explain available controls and request procedures. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or its providers change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a material change takes effect.
